Meet Sharyn
Founder and CEO of Australian Tea Masters, a passionate entrepreneur with over 15 years’ experience in high level positions both abroad and domestically, she’s brought her learnings about business to create an innovative company that provides exceptional services for who love tea.
Traveling tirelessly in pursuit for her passion.
Sharyn Johnston, a Geelong-based entrepreneur and CEO of the Australian Tea Masters travelling extensively in pursuit her passions to share genuine knowledge with students. She specialises primarily on teaching tea workshops but also has experience blending herbal blends that she teaches regularly across Asia including Korea, Singapore or Indonesia among other countries.
Sharyn, an award-winning tea expert has been a tea lover for over 20 years
Sharyn’s contributions to the tea industry are immeasurable. She is regularly asked to be a guest judge at tea competitions around the world and is a member of the advisory board of Tea Masters Cup International, as well as Head Judge.
Sharyn has also served on several committees that promote and regulate the tea industry, including two with international reach: The European Speciality Tea Association (ESTBA) where she was given an award for her contribution; And also as a member of China’s Experts Committee which recognizes excellence in Chinese teas!
A special mention needs be made about Sharyns work with Korean culture because not only did they get recognition from Korea but this foundation gave them something even more precious – respect.
Sharyn has spent years perfecting the art of brewing
Sharyn has a portfolio of approximately 30 different tea courses across all sectors, from Tea Etiquette to High Teas. These classes include hands-on blending for beginners and experienced alike – no matter what your level or interests are in this fascinating subject!
Tea has been a part of the Australian culture for centuries, and Sharyn’s courses in tea education have helped to spread this love around the world. Her passion is to help small farmers around the world market their teas, and she does this by developing awareness of what makes a good cup. Teaching people how they can enjoy more than just hot water with their favorite blend could make all the difference in someone’s life!
