Sustainability Meets Flavor: Bibile Kandura's Eco-Friendly Tea
I recently had the opportunity to visit the Bibile Kandura Tea plantation in Sri Lanka, and it was an experience I will never forget. The plantation is situated in the traditional village of Ethpauttiya and is close to the Namunukula mountain. The drive through the mountains and mist was breathtaking, and even though it was raining heavily when we arrived, the beauty of the plantation was not diminished.
Upon arriving at the plantation, I had the pleasure of meeting Salitha, the owner of Bibile Kandura Tea. Salitha is an energy auditor and asset energy manager, and he has designed an eco-friendly and energy-saving tea factory that ensures the tea-making process is free from any pollution or damage. Salitha was a gracious host and welcomed us warmly, despite the challenging weather conditions.
Salitha took us on a tour of the plantation, and I was amazed at the beauty and serenity of the tea garden. The tea plants were lush and green, and the air was fresh and clean. Salitha explained to us that he produces both black and green tea and that he takes great care to ensure that the tea is of the highest quality. He explained that he uses only the finest tea leaves from the tea garden and feels the tea with his hands to ensure that it is of the right quality. Salitha’s passion for tea-making was evident in the way he spoke about his tea and the care he takes to produce a high-quality, pure, and fresh Ceylon tea.
We then visited the tea factory, which was one of the unique places in the region. The factory was designed to be energy-saving and eco-friendly, and it was evident that Salitha had taken great care to ensure that the tea-making process was free from any pollution or damage. The factory was clean, and the tea-making process was fascinating to watch.
Salitha then offered us a taste of his tea, and it was unlike any other tea I had tasted before. The green tea was mild and sweet, and the black tea was rich and soft. The tea was of the highest quality, and it was evident that Salitha had worked hard to produce a unique and branded tea that people would love and enjoy.
In conclusion, my visit to the Bibile Kandura Tea plantation was an unforgettable experience. Salitha’s passion for tea-making was evident in every aspect of the plantation and the tea factory. The tea was of the highest quality, and it was evident that Salitha had taken great care to ensure that the tea-making process was free from any pollution or damage. I am excited to see Salitha’s tea participate in the “Golden Leaf Awards” in Australia and to see his tea sold in international markets. The Bibile Kandura Tea plantation is truly a unique and special place, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have visited.
