Also known as Yong Xi Jade Fire. The tea is from Yong Xi, An Hui Province, China. The appearance of Yong Xi Huo Qing resembles a gunpowder tea but it is actually much higher in quality. Leaves are tightly hand rolled, dark, glossy leaves with a few more yellowy shades. Made from one bud, two leaves picking It unfurls in the cup to produce a lovely scene. The distinctively rich and smooth floral flavor presents a balance of astringency and sweetness with a long and refreshing aftertaste. The tea has a strong, vegetal and lasting flavour. It has been fired by charcoal during the process, there is obvious light smoky fragrance. Good for multiple steeps.
