This tea is produced by the Balasun estate, a Darjeeling estate on the banks of the Balasun River. This Darjeeling is grown at a lower altitude and has more body compared to high-altitude darjeelings. The champagne-coloured liquor has an aroma of stone fruit and muscatel flavour with a dry finish.
